Oops.

Proof that the arts of writing and grammar are fast becoming relics of an ancient age. I saw this headline in the daily Rolling Stone email that I get:

JACKSON FAMILY THROUGH PARTY

Wonderful. Perhaps it is the fine art of copy-editing that we should be mourning.

Hey come on - it's free, and at least I can keep up on some of the fringe music that they report on once in a while. Not to mention that occasionally, I get to see some really funny comments from the dumb and the beautiful.

That's classic.

I can hardly stand reading any of the desi papers/magazines because I want to bust out a red pen and mail the proofread copy back to the moron editor...

I mean - I'm all for subverting the cannonizing of grammatical forms. After all, English is a living, breathing, ugly beast that has taken wonderful nuances with its adoption throughout the world.

BUT - COME ON! Let's at least agree that "through" and "thru" and "threw" and "throw" aren't the same thing...
